Larkspur native, Tigers grad Fletemeyer takes next step with commitment to NCAA D-III Gustavus Adolphus

The NAHL’s Odessa Jackalopes have announced that forward Marc Fletemeyer has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Gustavus Adolphus College.

Fletemeyer, 20, just completed his second and final season in the NAHL. The native of Larkspur started his NAHL career in 2021-22 with the Chippewa Steel, where he produced six points (two goals, four assists) in 27 games during his rookie campaign.

During the 2022-23 season, Fletemeyer started by playing seven games with the St. Cloud Norsemen before joining the Jackalopes. While with Odessa, Fletemeyer tallied two goals and one assist through 23 games.

Gustavus Adolphus is located in St. Peter, Minn., and the Golden Gusties play in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

“I’m honored to continue my hockey career and further my education at Gustavus Aldophus,” said Fletemeyer. “I would like to thank my coaches and family who have helped me along the way to allow me to get to the next level.”

Odessa head coach Scott Deur is thrilled with Fletemeyer’s commitment.

“We are really excited for Marc to further his education and hockey career at Gustavus Adolphus,” Deur said. “We have no doubt that he will do great things and we are excited to see what his future holds.”

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Fletemeyer spent three seasons playing in the NAPHL for the Colorado Springs Tigers’ 18U and 16U teams from 2018-21. In 49 career NAPHL games, Fletemeyer recorded 23 points.

He also played for the Colorado Evolution.
