College Hockey America has announced its monthly award winners for the month of October and Aurora native Shara Jasper is the league’s Player of the Month.

Jasper, a senior forward at Lindenwood University in St. Louis and a Colorado Select alum, totaled 10 goals and five assists in the first eight games of the season, leading the conference in points.

Her 10 goals also lead the conference, while ranking tied for fourth nationally. Her per-game averages are even more impressive on the national scene as she ranks 10th in points per game and third in goals per game.

Jasper has recorded three multi-goal games, including back-to-back hat-tricks at Northeastern University on Oct. 10 and at home against Penn State University on Oct. 30. Jasper has also recorded multi-point performances in four of the Lady Lions eight games and picked up at least one point in six of the games, leading Lindenwood to a 3-4-1 record.
