Utah connections Glenn, Anthony take home weekly USPHL honors
The USPHL has announced its player of the week awards, with two honors going to players with Utah connections.
Casper Roughnecks blueliner Marcus Glenn has been named the Northwest Premier Division Defenseman of the Week, while Seattle Totems forward Luke Anthony is the Northwest Premier Division Forward of the Week.
Glenn, an ‘03 from Santiquint, helped the Roughnecks claim a split against the Vernal Oilers by putting up a goal and an assist over the two games as well as a plus-3 rating. He also led the Roughnecks in ice time over the course of the weekend.
Back home, Glenn played high school hockey for the South County Llamas and previously in the USPHL for the Provo Riverblades.
Anthony, a 2004 birth year, played in just one game last week but was huge for the Totems against the Rogue Valley Royals. He put up two goals, including the game-winning goal, and added an assist in the 4-1 victory.
He has five of his 12 total points in the last couple games.
During his youth hockey days, Anthony skated for the West Coast Renagades.
