Denver’s Terry selected NCAA First Star of the Week

 

After helping the United States’ gold-medal winning performance at the World Junior Championship, Troy Terry returned to the University of Denver to lead the Pioneers to a victory against Arizona State.

On Tuesday, Terry was named the NCAA’s First Star of the Week.

Terry made all three of his shootout attempts in the Red, White and Blue’s semifinal victory against Russia and then scored the lone goal in the shootout in the gold medal game against Canada.

On Saturday in his return to Denver, the sophomore forward from Highlands Ranch scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added three assists in the 6-1 victory over the Sun Devils. On the season, Terry has 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists.

During his youth days, Terry played for the Colorado Thunderbirds and the Littleton Hawks.
