Thunderbirds alum Driscoll wraps four-year NCAA D-I career, signs with ECHL’s Steelheads for ’26-27 season
The ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads have announced that the club has signed defenseman John Driscoll to a contract for the 2026-27 season.
Driscoll enters his first professional season after a four-year NCAA Division I collegiate career with Army and Sacred Heart University.
The 25-year-old collected 33 points (seven goals, 26 assists) in 68 games with the Black Knights in his first two college seasons before grabbing another 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 79 games with the Pioneers the past two seasons.
The Idaho native and Colorado Thunderbirds alum previously spent four seasons in the USHL, amassing 43 points (two goals, 41 assists) in 204 games with the Central Illinois Flying Aces, Des Moines Buccaneers and Green Bay Gamblers.
