Saint Michael’s College first-year forward Ty Bloom has been named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week.

Bloom scored twice with one assist, finished plus-1, blocked three shots, and won 18 faceoffs during a trio of games between Dec. 29 and Jan. 7.
He posted an assist against Babson College on Dec. 29 before scoring in both ends of a series with SUNY Potsdam this past weekend.

Bloom has three goals and six assists for nine points and 13 blocks while going plus-3 this season. He has won 47.6% of his draws while appearing at center and on the wing.

During his youth hockey days, Bloom played for the Colorado Springs Tigers.
