Former Rampage standout Cosentino tabbed Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Month
Atlantic Hockey announced today that Air Force freshman forward Clayton Cosentino is the AHA Rookie of the Month for January.
Cosentino registered eight points in eight games as he helped lead the Falcons to a 5-3-0 record in January.
The San Carlos, Calif., native led the team with 83 faceoff wins, 23 more than any other Falcon during the month. The freshman won 56 percent of those faceoffs.
He recorded a career-best three points on a goal and two assists in the Falcons’ win at Mercyhurst, Jan. 21. Cosentino scored in three straight games in the month, the longest streak of his career. He had the primary assist on the game winner at Mercyhurst, Jan. 21 and capped the month with a point in both games against Army, including two points in the series opener.
This is his first Atlantic Hockey monthly honor of the season.
Cosentino spent time with the Colorado Rampage during his youth hockey days.
