The NA3HL announced today that Austin Ice Bats forward Lucas Helland is the South Division Star of the Week.

After recording just two points in his first six games, Helland erupted for seven points in two games against the Mid-Cities Stars last week.

The 2001-born Montana native recorded two goals and an assist on Friday, then went even bigger for an encore on Saturday with his first hat trick of the year along with another helper.

Helland has now totaled five goals and four assists for nine points in eight games on the year.

During his youth hockey career, Helland saw time with the Colorado Rampage.
