The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced is weekly award winners for the week ending Nov. 13, 2016, and a Colorado connection bagged one of the honors this week.

CCM Defenseman of the Week
Bo Hanson – Muskegon Lumberjacks
2 GP: 1 goal, 4 assists, +4

Hanson now leads all USHL defensemen in scoring after a five-point weekend. The Lumberjacks captain scored Saturday’s game-winning goal late in the third period. He also dished out two assists in back-to-back nights.

The Boise, Idaho, native played in his 125th career USHL game on Sunday. Hanson spent last season on the NHL Central Scouting list and was named to the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. He also was named to the 2016 USHL All-Academic Team.

The uncommitted defenseman was selected by the Lumberjacks in the 2014 USHL Phase II Draft in the second round (25th overall) and previously played for the Colorado Rampage (T1EHL).
