Madison Capitols blueliner Charlie Michaud has been named the USHL Defenseman of the Week.

A 2006-born Denver native and Miami commit, Michaud posted three assists in three games last week for Madison, which went 2-1-0 over that stretch.

Michaud assisted on a goal by Andrew Kuzma in last Saturday’s 3-2 win over Dubuque, and then assisted on first-period goals by Aiden Long and Jack Brandt and was plus-2 in a 3-2 overtime win at Cedar Rapids on Sunday.

Overall this season, Michaud has three goals and 11 points and is plus-3 in 38 games.

Back home, Michaud played for the Colorado Thunderbirds.
