Colorado products Hendrick, Ranone selected USPHL Players of the Week
Two Colorado natives were named USPHL Elite Players of the Week for the South Region for games played Feb. 11-18.
In the Florida Division, the Atlanta Mad Hatters’ Dawson Hendrick was named a Forward of the Week.
Hendrick, a 2003 birth year from Warm Springs, helped the Mad Hatters grab a win in the finale of a three-game set with the Florida Jr. Blades, scoring two goals, including the game winner and adding a couple assists.
Over in the Southeast Division, T.J. Ranone of the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes earned recognition as a Defenseman of the Week.
A 2000-born Aurora native and Cherry Creek hockey grad, Ranone helped the Jr. Canes take two of three in a home-and-home three-game weekend with the Hampton Roads Whalers. Ranone picked up a goal and assist in both the first and final games of the weekend, both Hurricane wins.
