Castle Rock native, LHA graduate Branish collects weekly EHL honors

The EHL has announced that New Jersey 87’s forward Tyler Branish is one of the EHL Premier’s Top Performers of the Week.

Branish and the 87’s swept their weekend home-and-home series with the New Jersey Renegades, stretching their winning streak out to five total games and improving their overall record up to 11-2-3 for the season.

As for the 2004 Castle Rock native, Branish tallied three total points to his credit over the weekend, increasing his season total up to eight for the year.

Coming up this weekend, Branish and the 87’s hit the road for a pair of road games as they travel north to take on the Connecticut Chiefs on Saturday night and then head west to take on the Pennsylvania Huntsmen on Sunday afternoon. The Huntsmen currently hold a one-point lead over the 87’s for the top spot in the South Division standings, and they were the last team to knock off New Jersey back on Oct. 23.

During his youth hockey days, Branish played for the Littleton Hockey Association and at Castle View High School.
