Bulls defenseman Hofer showing well in NCDC, taking next step with NCAA D-III Concordia commitment
It’s onward and upward for Pueblo Bulls defenseman Will Hofer.
Recently, the Fargo, N.D., native announced his commitment to play for NCAA Division III Concordia College, a school located in Moorhead, Minn.
Hofer has played 80 games in a Bulls jersey while amassing 17 points (three goals, 14 assists) in a season and a half in the NCDC.
“Will has been a true leader in the work he puts in on and off the ice while also being a tremendous kid,” said Bulls head coach Chris Wilhite. “He is someone that we have relied heavily on for the past year and a half to be a strong defensive presence on our blueline while also chipping in offensively when he can. The Cobbers are getting a great person, student and athlete.
“We are very proud of Will committing to Concordia, they have been very interested in him for a while and it will be a terrific fit for him academically and athletically. We look forward to Will finishing out a great season with us and making a push for playoffs.”
When asked about his success in Pueblo and in the NCDC, Hofer rattled off a list of reasons that has made his time with the Bulls very memorable.
“I am grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of the Bulls organization for the past two years,” added Hofer. “From passionate fans to amazing teammates and coaches, I’m grateful for every moment that made this journey special. There is no other organization that compares to Pueblo’s culture. The fans make it so much fun to play in front of. Their energy and support make it an electric atmosphere. The entire Bull’s staff prioritizes its players and helps to set every one of us up for success. The coaches and staff push us to our best every day and help make us the best hockey player we can become. My coaches have not only shaped me as a player, but they’ve also helped me grow as a person. Their guidance and leadership extend beyond the rink, teaching me life lessons about discipline, respect, and character. My billets have also played a huge role. They have been very supportive from the beginning and making me feel like family. I’m lucky to have them on my side, and I’ll always be thankful for the care they’ve shown throughout my journey.
“I am choosing to further my path at Concordia Moorhead next fall due to its great academic program and to be a part of a great hockey team. I am excited to have the opportunity to play for a team that is across from my hometown. Thank you, Pueblo for the experience which allowed me to showcase my talents back home.”
