Air Force’s Ledford named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week
Air Force junior Tyler Ledford was named the Travel Team USA Atlantic Hockey Conference Player of the Week for games ending Jan. 1.
Ledford, from Colorado Springs, helped lead the team to a conference road sweep at Sacred Heart Dec. 30-31, with three points in the two games.
In the first game, he scored the opening goal for a 1-0 lead and then had the first assist on the game-winning goal later in the third period. In the second game, Ledford had the first assist on the game-winning goal that broke a 2-2 tie in the third period.
Air Force, 11-6-3 overall and in second place in the AHC with an 8-3-1 record, continues its four-game conference road swing with a two-game series at Mercyhurst Jan. 6-7, in Erie, Pa.
