The USPHL has announced that Chicago Cougars forward Kevin Maisells is the Midwest East Division Forward of the Week.

Maisells registered an impressive five points at the USPHL Chicago Showcase, bringing his team-leading total to 27 on 12 goals and 15 assists.

The 2002-born Westminster native had the second assist on T.J. Haas’ eventual game-winning power-play goal against the Columbus Mavericks on Dec. 16 and added two goals and an assist against MHC the following day.

Maisells and the showcase-hosting Cougars went 3-1 at the event.

In Colorado, Maisells played for the Hyland Hills Jaguars, Littleton Hockey Association and Monarch High School.
