Army West Point senior Brent Keefer has been named the Atlantic Hockey America Forward of the Week.

Keefer scored two goals and the game-winning overtime goal in the Black Knights’ upset victory over then-No.7 Quinnipiac.

The Colorado Springs Tigers and Rocky Mountain RoughRiders alum scored two of the four Black Knight goals in the upset victory over the Bobcats on Friday night in Hamden, Conn. For the Black Knights it is the first top-10 win in over eight years, as Quinnipiac, a perennial power in the sport, was ranked No. 7.

Additionally, it was the third multi-point game for the senior in four games and Keefer now sits with six points through four games.

Originally from Oklahoma, Keefer currently leads the AHA in points per game with 1.50 per game and ranks seventh in the conference in total points, playing two less games minimum than everyone else in the rankings.
