Rampage grad Krizan heading off to ACHA college hockey at Columbia
The NA3HL’s Norwich Sea Captains have announced that defenseman Kolin Krizan has committed to play ACHA Division III college hockey for Columbia University.
Krizan began his NA3HL career with the Helena Bighorns in the 2024-25 season before joining the Tulsa Jr. Oilers. He then finished out the 2024-25 season with the Sea Captains, where he remained for the rest of his time in the league.
During the 2025-26 season, the Wyoming native and Colorado Rampage product recorded a team-best 39 points on 16 goals and 23 assists.
“I am absolutely thrilled for Kolin that he will be able to continue his academic and hockey careers at Columbia University,” said Norwich head coach Kevin Cunningham. “He was an integral piece of our team since his acquisition from Tulsa during the 2024-25 season through this year when he led our team in points and assists. Kolin’s competitive fire was a constant during his time in a Sea Captains uniform. He reached his goal of gaining admission to a top-tier university and having the opportunity to continue his hockey career at the collegiate level.”
Krizan’s best performance of the year came on Jan. 30 against the New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings where he scored two goals and recorded one assist in the Sea Captains’ close 4-3 victory over the Jr. Mountain Kings.
