Two-year EHL captain, Denver native Coderre off to college hockey with NCAA D-III Rivier
Josh Coderre, a forward for the EHL’s Providence Capitals, has committed to NCAA Division III Rivier for the 2025-26 season.
The ’04 out of Denver was a two-year captain for Providence. In his sophomore season, Coderre outperformed his prior season by seven points and added four goals in the team’s final four run. With 100 total games played in the EHL, Coderre registered 21 goals and 29 assists for 50 points.
“I’m super excited to see Joshua play NCAA hockey at Rivier University,” said Capitals head coach Jeff Perrault. “They are getting a complete 200-foot player. Coderre was my captain for a reason. As a coach, I trusted Joshua in absolutely every situation the game throws at you. Congrats, kid.”
Coderre will be flanked by his linemates in Mason Rudrud and Brayden Deschamps when he becomes a Raider in the Fall. He will join a long list of EHL talent that has selected Rivier for college hockey.
“I’d like to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for preparing and helping me become the person and player I am today,” Coderre said. “I am beyond grateful and excited to continue my education and hockey at Rivier University.”
Back home, Coderre skated for the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders and Colorado Thunderbirds.
