Colorado’s and Utah’s Authoritative Voice of Hockey

After three junior hockey seasons in Florida, Wellington native Bradshaw off to NCAA Division II Post

Kelton Bradshaw played a trio of junior hockey seasons in the USPHL – two with the Bold City Battalion in Jacksonville and this past season with the Coral Springs Jr. Cats.

Next season, the Wellington native and Colorado Thunderbirds alum will be back to experiencing cold winters after his recent commitment to NCAA Division II Post University, a school in Waterbury, Conn.

Bradshaw also broke into junior hockey in 2022-23 with the USPHL’s Northern Colorado Eagles.

“Playing in Florida was an incredible experience,” said Bradshaw. “Being able to go out and go to the beach as a team in December is a one-of-a-kind thing. This past season, we had a great year. Coming into a brand-new organization and bonding as quick as we did was incredible. From an individual standpoint, I had one of my best seasons. I found a lot of success playing under Rett Vossler and was put in a great position to succeed.

“The steps I took in understanding where I fit, trusting the process, and having a great coach that trusted me and helped me grow as a person and a player are what I’ll take from this season.”

As for Post, the school was a perfect fit right from the get-go.

“I got in contact with Post through a mutual connection and a strong start helped the process along the way,” Bradshaw said. “Post University is a smaller school, which was appealing to me, with a growing program that has found recent success over the past couple years. It was a no-brainer. The culture, community and staff at Post was exactly what I was looking for.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to play college hockey. My personal goals and expectations are to prove myself day by day and hopefully prove I can play at that level.”
