The USHL has announced that Lincoln Stars netminder Will Prowse is the Goalie of the Week.

An NCAA Division I Princeton commit, Prowse posted a 27-save shutout in Lincoln’s 2-0 road win at Waterloo on Friday.

The Vail native then turned aside 22 of 24 shots for the Stars as they completed a road sweep of the Black Hawks with a 5-2 victory on Saturday, finishing the weekend 2-0-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .961 save percentage, highest among goalies.

Back home, Prowse started playing hockey at Dobson Arena in Vail when he was about five years old. He then played for the Vail Mountaineers, Arvada Hockey Club and Rocky Mountain RoughRiders.
