Utah native, Rampage alum Halloran wins weekly NCHC award
Colorado College freshman forward Nick Halloran has been named the NCHC Rookie of the Week.
A native of Draper, Utah, Halloran powered the Tigers to a 1-1 record, scoring three of CC’s five goals over the weekend, all on the power play.
He opened the scoring in the Tigers’ 4-1 loss at Boston College Friday, putting CC in front only 5:30 into the game. The next night, he tallied his first career multi-goal game with two goals on the man advantage, including the game-winning goal in the third period, which broke a 3-3 tie and lifted the Tigers to a 4-3 win over New Hampshire.
Halloran put 13 shots on goal in the two games, including a career-high eight shots in the win at UNH.
In his youth days, Halloran skated for the Colorado Rampage.
