Parker native, Thunderbirds grad Hejduk named to 2022 BioSteel All-American Game

USA Hockey announced this week the 44 players who will compete in the 2022 BioSteel All-American Game next month at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.

The game, which will feature top prospects eligible for the 2022 NHL Draft, will be played Monday, January 17, with opening faceoff set for 4 p.m. ET.

The game will be broadcast live on the NHL Network.

Parker native and U.S. NTDP forward Marek Hejduk will represent Colorado at the event. During his youth hockey career, Hejduk played for the Colorado Thunderbirds.

Hejduk is also committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Harvard University.

The game format this year will have players assigned to teams, from both the U.S. National Under-18 Team of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and the United States Hockey League, the nation’s only Tier I junior hockey league.

The 44 players hail from 20 different states, with Minnesota’s 11 players leading all states. Thirteen different teams that compete in the USHL are represented across the two rosters. Forty-three of the 44 players are currently committed to play NCAA Division I college hockey, across 19 different schools.

Next summer’s NHL Draft is scheduled for July 7-8 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, home of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens.
