Colorado trio collects weekly NCDC, USPHL honors
The USPHL has announced its weekly awards, with a handful of California natives earning the honors.
Pueblo Bulls goalie Devin Peck is the NCDC Mountain Division Goaltender of the Week, Bold City Battalion netminder Evan Stringer is the Florida Premier Division Goaltender of the Week, and Hampton Roads Whalers forward Blake Marvici is the Southeast Elite Division Forward of the Week.
Peck (‘05/Colorado Springs) put together a fantastic showing against the host Rock Springs Grizzlies, earning a victory with 30 saves on 32 shots. The local product has a 7-4-1-0 record with a .920 save percentage.
Back home, Peck played for the Colorado Springs Tigers, Colorado Rampage, and at Coronado High School.
The third-year Premier veteran Stringer (‘05/Fort Collins) made 31 saves on 32 shots to defeat Atlanta for his third straight victory in his 50th career Premier game. He has improved to 7-2-1-0 this year, and he is 30-13-5-1 for his career, with a .916 save percentage.
Stringer played in Colorado for the NCYH Jr. Eagles and Rocky Mountain RoughRiders.
Marvici (‘05/Colorado Springs) scored the game-winning goal on Nov. 22 against the Jersey Hitmen and registered five total points across two games with the Whalers this week. Marvici is in his second season with the Whalers and has 37 points (20 goals, 17 assists) across 58 career games.
In Colorado, Marvici played for the Jr. Eagles and Tigers.
