Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey Association welcomes Dessart as new executive director

 

Kevin Dessart has been named the new executive director for the Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey Association.

As a former coach for the Colorado Springs Lady Tigers, Dessart has come home to lead CSAHA in its mission to provide outstanding youth hockey programs.

Dessart has been playing, coaching, and working in hockey for over 35 years. After playing hockey in college at St. John’s University in New York, he went on to develop his career working with three NHL teams, the New York Islanders, Florida Panthers and New Jersey Devils.

Most recently, Dessart has put his knowledge and experience to use as the executive director of partnerships and coaching for USA Cycling.

He is also the head coach of the UC Boulder women’s hockey team, which he led to a WCHL conference championship in 2019 and a berth in the ACHA National Championship.

Dessart has lived in Colorado for more than 20 years with his wife Tina, and children Justin, Julia and Sara.
