The USPHL has announced that a pair of Colorado natives have earned weekly honors.

Pueblo Bulls defenseman Will Sinclair is the NCDC Mountain Division Defenseman of the Week, while Charlotte Rush goalie Rocco Stolz is the Southeast Premier Goaltender of the Week.

An NCDC veteran and native Coloradoan, Sinclair, an ’03 from Erie, was one of the best things going for the Bulls in an otherwise tough weekend against the Ogden Mustangs.

He posted a goal and two assists in the two games, and also had eight blocked shots and 10 takeaways on defense. With five points in four games, he’s already passed his points total from 33 games last year with the Twin City Thunder.

Back home, Sinclair spent time with the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders

Stolz, a returning Premier All-Star and an ‘04 from Denver, put together his best performance out of his three wins so far, making 42 saves on 43 shots in a 6-1 victory against the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes.
