Greeley native, Resurrection Christian alum McFarland takes home weekly NE-10 honors

 

Saint Michael’s College senior Brennan McFarland has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week.

McFarland collected three goals and three assists while going plus-5 in a weekend sweep of Assumption.

After the Purple Knights allowed the opening goal on Friday, McFarland tied the game at 4:07 of the first period to spark a four-point outing, which included a hat trick in a 5-1 win. Saint Michael’s earned a 4-2 win on Saturday behind McFarland’s pair of second-period assists.

Despite missing nine mid-season games, the Greeley native is tied for seventh in the NE-10 in goals (10) and eighth in points (22) while standing second in points per game and goals per game.

He owns 98 career points and is 10th in program history with 67 career assists.

Back home, McFarland played junior hockey for the USPHL’s and WSHL’s Northern Colorado Eagles and high school hockey at Resurrection Christian.
